Bruce, the pumpkin (by Aaron H.)So is it cheating if I post an article from Scott Bennett that is posted on his wife's, Joy, blog???
The Lord gives and the Lord takes, but always He is with me and He is good.

Well, I finished it. The first draft anyway. I emailed it two pastors for their critiques. Now it is your turn. What do you think of "My Official Statement of Philosophy of Counseling"? I know it is not edited completely, but I am excited to be so close to finished with something!
Counseling Philosophy for Arielle Corcoran
OK, I know that some of you are way past this level, but I just learned how to link a website to a word (i.e. in my Depression post Patiently Hope and Quietly Wait below, and also here, I linked the name Spurgeon to the actual site of his sermon- READ IT E & M). So now in my blogs you can just click on the word and go directly to the site. Cool. Thanks, Cynthia C. for teaching me how (and Keith C. for showing your dear wife!). Let's practice.

Hello All!

2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh,
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Charity begins at home. Well before 10AM.
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
Question:
So do you ever ask yourself that question? I know Whose I am, but who am I? Philippians 3:13-15
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
Alex and I begin homeschooling today. That meant getting up much earlier than usual for summertime. Isaac gets to begin his school schedule this week as well (tho he doesn't understand WHY). So I did let them sleep in until 7:30AM, but then it was up and at em!
A cup of tea. A moment with you, and then a book. What a perfect moment.
